Hot 100 When an Angel Was Born
Due to tweaking my back this past Wednesday, I am kind ‘a stuck in my “zero gravity” living room chair. I’ve been wanting to get a database of the Billboard Hot 100 for a while, so there seemed no better time to find it.
And I appear to have found a great one on GitHub. (It’s 1958+.)
So, I imported it into Power BI…now what to do?
Well, create a playlist for the love of my life, of course!

I’m going to keep this post short and have it mainly be iPhone photos…with plans to do a full review in the future.
Let’s just say I had a ball talking the red beauty from my home in Strasburg, Colorado to McDonald’s in Bennett, Colorado and back.
Of course, I had to stop at my favorite place between Strasburg and Bennett…
This is a Class 3 bike, which means throttle up to 20 MPH and pedal assist to 28 MPH. I think the pedal assist really goes up to over 30 MPH, but that’s not a complaint. 🙂
(You can also limit your top speed in the displays settings…including cutting it down to being considered a Class 2.)
This bicycle is just a joy to ride. I was worried that the cadence sensor (as compared to a torque one) would mean I wouldn’t get enough of a work-out, but I was able to get my heart in the zone I wanted for most of the time on a trek I couldn’t have enjoyed much more than I did.
Well, it’s time for dinner…so bye for now…but…if you are thinking about getting an e-bike that will allow you to safely go off-road, I’d put this one on your shortlist.

When I was young, my bicycle equaled freedom. It allowed me to get further than was realistic for my legs, whether it was to the lake a couple miles up the road or, in high school, visiting my friends nine miles away. (Grabbing one of my parents’ car keys wasn’t an option.)
Out here on the high plains in Strasburg, Colorado, the town to the east (Bryers) is essentially over six miles away and the one to the west (Bennett) over eight. (Also, please take into account that the plains are “rolling plains,” not “flat plains.” There are some nasty hills.) My headin’-toward-sixty legs are not the same as my energetic teen ones. I occasionally still do the east and west treks on my sturdy, reliable Giant bicycle, but, sadly, “freedom” at that distance now equals a car.

A Bulgarian Doing a Bulgarian
Have I told you how much I hate Bulgarians? Not the people, the exercise! (Bulgarian split squat.)
Well, I figured I’d try an AI image generator to get a Bulgarian doing a Bulgarian. Being a total newbie, I got some interesting results, but nothing close to a Bulgarian doing a Bulgarian. Until…
The final prompt was an image I found on the web of someone else doing a Bulgarian with me adding the following prompt: “bulgarian soldier with handlebar mustache in 1884 parade uniform doing Bulgarian split squat photo realistic.”
Not perfect (e.g. the back foot should be up on the bench), but pretty impressive Midjourney. 🙂

Big Dad Ritch’s Testimony
This is an inspiring Christian testimony from Big Dad Ritch of the Texas Hippie Coalition. I recorded it during the “The Name Lives On” release party at the Wild Goose Saloon in Parker, Colorado on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Shoveling Snow
If I keep posting like this, you’ll think I am just a marketing arm for The Athlete District, but…
Late May of 2021, I snapped the patella tendon on my left knee. Since then, shoveling snow wasn’t a possibility…and probably on the dangerous side.
Until recently, after being a member of The Athlete District and doing their group circuit classes since August. Today, I shoveled for the first time since that injury (and a hernia operation early June of this year). Continued thank yous Anna and Becca!
Please just don’t tell my wife and son, ‘cause now they will expect me to do more of it. 🙂
